New comms network from Switch Communications and Alcatel-Lucent takes centre stage at London’s Southbank Centre

London’s Southbank Centre encompasses the Royal Festival Hall, the Hayward Gallery, the Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Purcell Room. The embodiment of iconic 1950s and 1960s architecture, it stands proudly on the Thames embankment and is recognised today as one of the country’s major cultural centres.

Switch Communications was hired to assist in the improvements by installing a new communications system based on one of Alcatel’s advanced Voice over IP (VoIP) networks. This included a state-of-the-art PBX, advanced management software and 500 phones.
